Flavored Water Recipes To Help You Lose Weight

Fat Flush Water Recipes To Melt Your Fat

Have you ever thought about using water to lose fat? As simple as it may sound, water could be the answer to your fat storage problems. To get the most from water fat flushing you’ll first need to understand the basics of fueling your body with fat.

Your body is made from several major categories: muscle, bone, water and of course fat.

While we need sufficient amount of fat stored in our body for a healthy lifestyle, there are different kinds of fat that accumulate known as essential fat and storage fat.

Essential fat is what your body requires to promote healthy cholesterol, reproductive processes, keeps you energized and supports immune function.

Storage fat is the type that accumulates in stubborn areas and gives your body a thicker look when you’ve consumed more calories than your body can flush out with energy.

Getting rid of storage fat is a notoriously difficult task. Plenty of people struggle with a lack of fat loss results simply because they overlook some of the basic components to stripping fat from your body.

Flavored Water

Flavored water is one of the hottest selling products on the market for a good reason. Some people don’t like things to be bland, therefore adding flavor to spice things up a bit.

When we buy commercially flavored water, we indulge in the convenience, low price, and vitamin enriched formulas, but in an effort to save money many companies have begun to use sugar and artificial additives in lieu of healthy natural flavoring. As you don’t want to add tons of extra calories and artificial ingredients, you can easily make these flavored water at home.

As a matter of fact, the good majority of fat flash flavored water products out there may boast low calories, but that’s only because they’re packed with artificial sweeteners made from chemicals.

There is still not enough research on the safety of these sweeteners on our bodies and some studies suggest that they may cause various health problems.

There is, however, a much easier, healthier, and inexpensive way for you to enjoy fat flash flavored water: making your own.

Benefits of Drinking Flavored Water For Losing Fat

By now you probably already know that water plays a huge role in a healthy lifestyle.

According to scientific studies, our bodies are composed of about 45-75% water and it is essential for almost every bodily process to work effectively.

Medical studies recommend you to consume an 8 oz glass of water at least 8 times a day to fully benefit from the following benefits:

Keeping Calories Under ControlOne study concluded that water is an essential weight loss tool that many people overlook.

Water eliminates the tons of extra calories you would consume from sodas and sugary drinks.

Also many times thirst can often be mistaken for hunger, and this is why many weight loss experts recommend drinking a glass of water before eating a meal or snack. If that satisfies you, then it was thirst.

Flavored Water

It is clear that drinking water is an essential lifeline, but why choose flavored water?

First of all there is the boredom factor. Many people don’t get enough regular water simply because it is too bland for them and people like the taste of sweet drinks. Drinking fat flush flavored water will eliminate the boredom and make hydrating yourself a diverse and fun process.

You can also add even more healthy qualities to water depending on the way you flavor it. Sure plain water is good for you, but why not add the vitamins and minerals that fruits and spices have to offer?

Many additives like herbs, fruits, and teas can kick your water up a notch and go beyond the bland.

Water and Body Fat

Water is to humans what gasoline is to vehicles, but perhaps even more important. It is essential to more than just fueling bodily systems. It cleanses our bodies of toxins and helps to curb our appetites when our brain tricks itself into feeling hungry.

Let’s get a little basic to understand the complex process of fat burning.

In order for you to get rid of storage fat you want your body to shift its fuel source to fat.

One way to do this is to actually start consuming more fat.

If you shift to healthy fat sources (such as avocado, nuts and seeds, olive oil, etc…) and moderate your carbohydrate intake, your physical activity will depend on fat for energy.

This is where water flushing comes into play.

During the chemical breakdown of fat for energy, the body relies on water to flush the excess waste from the body. What isn’t being used as energy in the body is simply left inside for water to flush out. If you don’t have a well hydrated body, those waste products may never make it out of your body.

It’s also worth considering that water can be an essential dietary tool.

First of all, when your body is dehydrated it sometimes sends signals to the brain that are mistaken for hunger. When this happens you end up eating even when your body doesn’t require fuel.

Secondly, drinking several glasses of water in between meals will keep your stomach full while encouraging the healthy distribution of vitamins and minerals through the body.

How to Make Your Own Flavored Water

Quit buying large cases of factory-made flavored water at the store. Toss all of the flavor packets loaded with artificial sweeteners aside. You’re about to learn the easiest method of flavoring your water.

Consider the Source –There are some areas where water from the tap is of clear quality and relatively safe. Many heavily populated areas however have tap water that tastes funky and is stuffed with fluoride and strange minerals. Try to find a source of water that is pure and safe before you start flavoring it. Filters work great and will ensure your water comes out clean and tasteless.

Prepare Your Flavors – The options here are virtually endless. You have a ton of fruits, herbs, and extracts at your disposal (we’ll discuss a few flavored water recipes below). Slice your fruit into small chunks, muddle the fresh herbs, and gather fruit juices if the recipe calls for it.

Mix – Find a large glass container (plastic can leach chemicals and distort flavor) and mix in the water and flavors. There are also fruit infusion glass pitchers that make the process easy and clean. Some people like to mix in ice with the fruit as well to get a nice and chilled result.

Let it Sit – Now that your ingredients are mixed, let them sit in the fridge for several hours or overnight. As the mixture spends more time marinating, it’ll soak up more flavor and vitamins. Have one mixture ready while you’re preparing another one or keep multiple flavors at hand so you never have to go without a refreshing dose of flavored water!

Flavored Water Recipes

So you’re ready to start using water for a healthier and skinnier life. The first thing you’ll want to do is make sure your body gets an ample amount. Most nutritional experts recommend consuming between seven to nine glasses per day. Physical exertion and sweating should be kept in mind as they increase your bodies need for water.

Drinking plain water is a good option, but it isn’t necessarily the best when it comes to burning fat. As you may have noticed from earlier posts on this site, there are plenty of natural ways to kick start a healthy lifestyle with the right ingredients.

Try the recipe below for an enhanced fat burning drink with more flavor and effectiveness than plain water.

Recipe 1

Directions:

1. Get a large pitcher and fill it with the cleanest water available.

2. Slice 1 grapefruit, 1 tangerine, ½ cucumber and add to the pitcher with ice.

3. Add a few peppermint leaves and stir, leaving the pitcher in the fridge when finished.

Grapefruit is packed with vitamin C and fat burning enzymes that shift your body’s fuel focus to storage fat. Tangerines are low in calories and high in taste, with loads of vitamins and minerals to keep your body nourished. The cucumber prevents bloating and random food cravings with a full feeling stomach. It also helps keep your stomach balanced and promotes healthy digestion.

The skin of citrus fruits is often bitter, especially in grapefruits. Consider peeling them first if you don’t like the taste. Reducing the grapefruit or adding sweet ingredients such as strawberries and cherries to dilute the taste might make the water easier to drink for some people. Experiment and find what works best for you.

By drinking a glass of this mixture around three times a day you can enhance the likeliness that your body will burn fat. The advisable timing for each glass you drink is before each meal. That way you’ll have the fat burning properties already inside as you consume calories. You’ll also get fuller quicker with the extra water in your stomach, preventing you from overeating.

Here’s another fat flushing water recipe that will help you to melt fat:

Recipe 2

Directions:

1. Pour eight ounces of pure unsweetened cranberry juice into a half gallon pitcher.

2. Fill the rest with ice and water.

3. Stir and store in the fridge.

Drink a glass before each major meal just like the aforementioned recipe. Much like tangerines and grapefruit, cranberries are loaded with vitamins and minerals to fuel your body and help to cleanse the lymphatic system. They also contain a diuretic called arbutin, which aids in removing toxins and waste from the body that would normally cause bloating.

You can find more information about the healing powers of cranberries and other berries in my e-book The Healing Berry Guide.

Other Flavored Water Ideas

The ingredient to water ratio is debatable for each recipe. A good indication is 1 part fruit for every 4 parts water. Herbs can vary in potency and should start off small to avoid overwhelming the drink. After experimenting a bit you’ll find the ideal mixtures for your own taste-buds. For each recipe idea you push around the fruits with a muddler or spoon to release some of the juices prior to adding water.

Very Berry Water

Berries are packed with antioxidants and delicious natural sugars and are true superfoods. Mix together some raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries for some berry good water.

Cinnamon Apple Water

Take a small amount of cinnamon and add it right to the jar. Slice thinly the apples and gently muddle it before adding ice and water.

Cucumber Mint Lemon Water

This subtle drink is a refreshing and healthy twist on the average flavored water recipe. Slice a cucumber and a little bit of lemon and mush a few mint leaves (enough to release the flavor without bruising the leaves) and let it sit overnight. You can find here more information about the health benefits of drinking lemon water.

Strawberry Basil

Mix together a ratio of 4 basil leaves for every 1 ½ cups of strawberries for optimal flavor on this one. This one is a great mixture to cool off on a hot day.

Vanilla Pear

Get a little bit of natural vanilla extract and slice up a few pears for a sweet drink mix. Vanilla also works great when mixed with peaches if you prefer.
